Entrance into reception question

I would have them announced separately, unless they are ok with being announced together.

I do have a brother that will be apart of the bridal party but thats it...honestly she hasnt expressed that just the fact that no matter what theyre still my parents it has nothing to do with them and their past

View Quoted Comment She would still be announced as mother of the bride. Honestly, regardless of which option you choose, one of them is going to be less happy than the other. The entire entrance takes like 30 seconds, so I would just go with whichever option you prefer.

I would just skip parent announcements and just do the bride and groom.

You can ask them, but most people would say NO.

We are in the same boat on my FH side. We decided to have his mom escorted in by the Best Man. He has known my FH & his mom pretty much all his life so we figured it'd be special for him to escort her after all she's done for him throughout the years. Could you do something like that?

Why not avoid it all together and only have the bridal party announced, no parents? Or go a step further and only have yourselves be introduced - it's what we're doing!

We're having a few photos with out bridal party and then we let them go drink with their partners during cocktail hour while we sneak off for couple photos. When they go in to dinner they just seat themselves at the bridal party with everyone else, so only the two of us are actually 'announced' as such.

Just skip it, I've never seen that at a wedding - only bridal party announcement followed by bride/groom announcement

Same. Never seen parents introduced. We're not even doing bridal party or us into the reception, I just thought it would feel weird. Everyone just watched us get married, they already know who we are.
