Entrance fee for the wedding?

Can I charge an entrance fee for the wedding? I also wanted to do a cash bar and a honeymoon fund. What else am I missing??? Lol just kidding! For all the new users, don't do it.

Make sure to ask your bridesmaids a year and a half out at least, so they have time to lose the weight you demanded. If they don't comply, they don't really support your special day. Fire them.

Don't forget to tell guests that you will only accept cash as a gift and anything else must come with a receipt to be returned for more money

Ladies, and gentlemen, you are forgetting, cash bars are so passé! You have a shower and tell everyone to bring you booze, "Stock the Bar" Baby! Also, you can't forget the Stag and Does, don't worry, there are prizes!

    We thank you for coming

    To our special day

    But we're not properly hosting

    We want you to pay!

    This dumb cutesy poem

    Will make it alright

    That we're ignoring etiquette

    All fucking night

FutureMrsHodge: A Stag and Doe, AKA Jack and Jill is a party that is thrown (and paid for) by the WP to raise money for the wedding. Tickets are sold to family, friends and outsiders, there are games, food, a cash bar, and prizes offered up over the night with tickets sold for everything and proceeds going to the wedding. It is a thing in Ontario where I'm from and Manitoba too. I'm not sure about other places in Canada or the States.

At a wedding I've seen a "dance with the couple in return for a donation for their "baby carriage""lol

@Webb That is the best!!! Next time my mother suggests something terrible in lieu of the dollar dance I refuse to have, I'm totally sending her that poem.

On second thought, I'm all-in for an entrance fee. I'd do the dollar dance, but why not just force some BMs to stand at the door and charge my guests so I don't have to exert myself!
