Engagement stories

We have a long story, but we started dating when we were 15 but broke up before graduating high school, then got back together a few years later. We were together for 4 years before deciding to take a break after we both moved back home after college. A year later I ended up moving in with him to help cut rent costs (had my own room) and we definitely fell back in love then. I told him that "I wouldn't say 'no' if you proposed" and apparently he bought the ring the next day. It took 3 months for us to have a day off at the same time, but he planned out the whole day where we went to a local Family Fun Center for bowling and arcade games and laser tag -- our kind of stuff. I'd assumed he was going to propose when he insisted I wear a dress for bowling. After wearing ourselves out, we went to dinner, he wanted somewhere nice, but we'd skipped lunch and I was hungry, so we went with fast food, then went to an Escape Room. We're both big into games and puzzles and were really excited for this. It was Pirate themed and I've always had a huge fascination with Pirates. Anyway, we start the escape room and I figure he was just going to wait to propose at the end when they do the pictures. So we get most of the way through, finding clues like a Skeleton named Will and one named Mary. the last clue was just the letter U, and I was so confused. I get frustrated when I can't figure things out, so I was getting mad and he wasn't really helping lol. He picked up the names and the letter, then turned and said "Ok, I have to tell you something." Then hung the letters on the wall "Will U Mary" and got down on one knee with the ring.
His hands and voice were shaking so bad and I forgot to answer, but it was the best day ever.

Turns out he had gone to the room earlier in the week and rigged it up. He had the company film us through the security cameras lol
