When does the feeling of being afraid to use your hand go away after getting engaged !? I am always very careful but sometimes you don't realize how much you use a hand until you act as if you don't have one!! I'm so scared to ruin my ring! I've already scratched it and felt terrible, luckily they were not deep and were easily removed

Not sure that it goes away lol I've been engaged for a year now and still have that feeling. I've just learned to be more conscious of how I handle my left hand haha

I don't worry too much. Diamonds are basically indestructible. But, I also have a low setting, 6 prongs, and a lifetime warranty for dipping and tiny stone replacement.

Eh.... It's insured. I don't worry. Would it suck to lose or break it? Absolutely! But I wear it everywhere and enjoy it.

I was like that very briefly, but as a lefty I didn't have a choice but getting over it. I too, have a high setting, but I rarely take it off these days. I think the last time I took it off (other than to clean it) was the bleach my hair in June. I went for my sixth month inspection (where has the time gone?!?!) yesterday and all was well.

I attached a pic that shows how mine sits.

I love the two rings posted on here, however if my ring was higher than my halo, I would have prob already damaged it by now. I tend to be pretty clumsy, but try to be careful when my ring is on. It's a process for sure lolz

I take mine off to wash my hands (pearl ring) and when I do anything physical. I only wear my wedding band when I go to the gym.

I chose mine with sturdiness in mind. Like almost.mrsRRR, I'm a vet tech, and any ring on my hand will take a lot of abuse at work.

Christina, same! I just got engaged in March and love my ring. I literally check it every few minutes to make sure the stones are still set and everything. And just because I like looking at it. My ring is moissanite with 14 karat gold and moissanite is right under a diamond durability wise. But I still get paranoid so I'm extra careful. Plus, mine is not insured yet. So I feel like once it's insured I'll feel less anxious about it.Engagement ring anxiety 1
