Engagement photoshoot- tipping?

Jasmyn, on August 20, 2019 at 9:31 AM Posted in Planning 0 3
Hi guys! My fiancé and I have officially scheduled our engagement photos and we’re really excited! One thing we we’re unsure about was tipping? We are doing a destination wedding so we will not be using their services for the wedding (I’ve read in the past people usually wait and tip at the end) so I was wondering what’s an appropriate percent for tip?

I would tip 15-20%, but you may want to wait until you receive the photos.

I would wait until you get your photos. I planned on tipping after receiving them but it ended up turning into a huge disappointment.

    Hey Jasmyn!

I would advise you tip like you would any other service on the cost (hairstylist, waitstaff in a restaurant, etc).

Will you see your photographer in person after the shoot? A tip is typically given in cash, so if this is going to be difficult once the photos are received, and you're happy with the experience on the day, perhaps give it on the day. It really is your personal preference Smiley smile
