Are they also going to be your wedding photographer? Our engagement session was included in booking for our wedding date. It would also depend on how long the session is, how many if any outfit changes, how many photos you can expect back, etc. I have seen sessions as an add-on for other photographer packages we looked at for about $400, so assuming it's a legitimate session with a professional photographer, $250 sounds reasonable to me.

It's about average price. Also depends on how creative you get with it. The length of time, if there's multiple locations, etc. The photographer I booked for our engagement photos quoted me at $275.

For a session i think that is reasonable

My photographer didn't include a session in our package (which seemed odd compared to the other photographers I saw, but for the deal I got I let it go). Ours was $275.

I think it sounds reasonable to me. Our photographer normally charges $225 for an engagement picture session. But because of paying the deposit or some type of deal it was $175 for the session for ours.

Does your photographer offer them? If so, they may be included in your price already. If not, maybe try to see if they will add them for cheaper. That way you can get a feel of the way your photographer photographs before the big day

Very reasonable. Mine cost $550 for 1 hour and 70 images. A half hour and I believe 30 or 40 images was around $400 but we wanted to shoot in multiple locations within the area we chose so 1/2 hour didn’t work. Some photographers include them in wedding packages. We didn’t go that route since we’re not getting married where we currently live so our wedding photographer reduced the price of the wedding package we chose by a little bit.

Mine were $300 and she has since increased her rate to $450

I upgraded to the 8 hour session with our wedding photographer and got a complimentary engagement session with the pkg. May want to check if yours offers something similar.

I would say yes, but prices also vary so much by region, time included, rights to photos, etc. My engagement sesh costed $400 (for 2 hours) for comparison.

Seems reasonable but check with your photographer and see if they offer an engagement session in your wedding day package too! We paid $250 for 1.5 hours to get ours done in Houston.

Our engagement session was included in our wedding photography package. If you haven’t booked a photographer yet, I would do that first. You may get a better deal that way. However, based on engagement session packages I’ve seen, $250 seems like a pretty good deal.
