Engagement Photo Outfits - what the heck do I wear !?!

KneeKnee, on April 28, 2016 at 5:53 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

So it seems with the madness of wedding planning the littlest things now stress me out. The newest thorn in my side is our upcoming engagement photos and having no idea what to wear....literally.

How did you guys decide what to wear and if you had multiple outfits, where did you change!?

I have no idea either. I'm thinking a casual dress. I'm shopping for it this weekend, and hoping the dress is something I can wear to my shower as well since it's a cookout.

I'll probably do 2 outfits but not sure. Second will be a little more casual, jeans and cute top. My photos will be at a college with some great structures so I assume they have a bathroom.

Since my wedding is rustic, we took ours right in the farm where we are getting married. I wore a white dress shirt with a black tank top underneath and my jeans.

We did one change and our pics were at a park. We wore our favorite soccer team's gear and jeans for the puppy part. And then we changed into a colorful, casual dress that he bought me and a nice collared shirt that picked up some of the blue in my dress. We just drove home and changed since it wasn't too far.

My engagement shoot ended up being right after the blizzard in Baltimore this past winter. I was kinda bummed it was too cold and snowy to wear anything but jackets. I wore a nice jacket and boots and the pictures turned out great though.

I think it depends on the scenery and the feel you're going for. I did casual-dress up.

I didn't change outfits, we only had one hour and it was actually really hot out for a mid-October day.

I recommend a versatile color like black or white with accents in your wedding color, so you can use them for invites & such!

We wore nice jeans & black, put the dogs in blue bandanas. It was perfect!

Just pick an outfit that you feel good in and don't overthink it! (says the girl who also has no idea what to wear and is also stressing about it)

Our photographer suggested based on our location solid colors would be best.

One bit of advice i got from our photographer was don't be too matching, you will almost blend in together in the photos! I always look for things that compliment each other when picking stuff out and obviously based on the weather and setting of the pictures. Dresses are always a fun and easy go to!

We wore one, casual outfit each, and had our photos taken at my in-laws house, by hubby's aunt. We only needed it for our save the dates, so that was fine for us. She gave us the memory card and we had some shots printed at our local drugstore, for our parents and grandmothers. We knew we wouldn't put photos around our house, of our engagement, since there would be a lot of wedding photos, the following year. I'm sure that baby/children photos will eventually replace the wedding photos we have up now, anyway.
