My son is getting engaged soon. I'd like to have something special to give the couple when they come to show us the ring. Something sentimental that they could keep forever is what I'm aiming for, but I have NO ideas.

Do you have something from your wedding or an anniversary that you would be willing to part with? My most cherished gifts from my FMIL are things that were hers - not something that was bought new for us.
