Its Taylor Time!
Dedicated July 2017

End of the Aisle

Its Taylor Time!, on July 29, 2016 at 4:00 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

I'm racking my brain of placing something creative at the end of our aisle for the ceremony, without it costing an arm and a leg. Renting a arch costs money I'm not willing to dish. The venue has a arch... But me no likey. It would take a lot of decorating for me to be okay with it. I'll attach a picture from Pinterest of what I'm thinking! We are having an outdoor ceremony on a lawn overlooking a lake. I already have two large lanterns, so I'd only need some crates and flowers. Does it seem like an okay back drop for a ceremony?

Picture of the lawn on the bottom for reference.

Would you do one in the middle? Or one on each side? Keep in mind, once people (officiant, B&G, GM & BMs) are standing up front, that decor won't be seen anyway.

I like the idea of putting the lanterns, boxes and some flowers on each side of you as sort of an "altar" and not obstructing the beautiful lake view behind you.

I was thinking right in the middle, but I could do two on either side. I'm not too terribly picky

One on either side. You are lucky to have such a nice view as a backdrop!

I love the idea of the lanterns and crates. I would do on either side of you like suggested by PPs.

I'm a bit OCD and I'd do it on either side! I think having just one set up would not seem balanced to my eyeballs...

I did something very similar. My venue came with an awful arch that would cost too much to cover. I used crates and nautical decor.

Can you check other rental companies? Our rented arch is only $25. Florist is making an arrangement to go across the top. And if I have any tulle left over, we'll drape some.
