Empty Seats? Help!

Mandypants, on May 2, 2017 at 8:51 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

So I'm working on my seating chart. Our tables come in either 8 or 10. I'm getting a lot of tables that don't add up (aka. 9, and no single person makes sense to put there, and it doesn't make sense to put the single person at another table), so has anyone left a seat or two free at tables? I figure it may come in handy when we are greeting guests or just for people to be able to mingle in general. Thoughts?

We told our venue how many chairs to put at each table. They shouldn't put 10 chairs and place settings if there's only 9 people.

I don't know why I didn't think of that! That makes a lot more sense. I've been to a wedding where there were extra seats left there, but I never really considered it.

I hate tables that are too crowded with people anyway so it'll be fine.

Yes crowded tables are the worst. I think having some with different numbers is ok. Givves the guest room to move around.
