Emerald rings?

I'm in love with a pear shaped lab created emerald ring. Does anyone have emerald rings and if so, do you like it? Anyone have experience with lab created gems? From what I understand, the lab created emerald has the same properties as a naturals emerald and fewer inclusions. And, it hasn't been mined!

My wedding band is emerald ( no picture) I used lab created because I wanted the deep green and to get that in natural is very expensive. They are all "real" emeralds. Lab created are a little more durable than natural emeralds.

Personally, I couldn't care less (and wouldn't dream of asking) if a bride-to-be was wearing a mined stone or a lab created stone in her engagement ring. I wore a CZ set in white gold for years (at my insistence) until he did diamond upgrades for ring two, three, and four (none of which I even wear anymore).

OP, if you're partial to emeralds, have at it. Just be aware of the precautions you need to take with certain precious and semi-precious stones. If you're really into deep green, as opposed to emeralds, take a look at chrome diopside stones. Their clarity and depth of color is nothing short of magnificent.

ETA: Damn, another broken link. Just google "chrome diopside" and hit images.

I don't have an emerald but my is a pear shaped morganite and I love it! FH and I looked at a lot of lab created amethysts and Emeralds though because they were all super pretty so I say go for it!

I have an emerald family ring, and Carissa is correct, the stone is soft. I have to be careful because it can scratch easily. I love my emerald, but I don't wear rings very often.

Lab created gems are still real! My mom has both naturally found and lab created emeralds. They're both just as beautiful! Side note to op, pear cut is the best cut! That's what mine is Smiley smile

I absolutely love emeralds. Natural or lab created.

This is my e-ring. FH got me a diamond because of pressure from my mom and sister, however my goal is to replace the middle diamond with a third emerald.

Wouldn't want anything else. Not sure if it's lab created or not (the wedding band I picked has lab created emeralds) but I'm thrilled with my non diamond.

I have a lab created alexandrite ER. I say go for it. I love mine. I got a better quality, bigger, flawless, completely ethical, stone for a much more reasonable price point. Not a single person has asked me if it's "real" *rolls eyes*. I'm on team lab created or vintage all the way.

Lab created, man-made...geez, who cares??? as long as OP loves it thats all that should matter. Ethically sourced is the best way to go in my opinion. I have a lab created moissanite over 5 carats and I love it. NO ONE HAS looked at it and called it fake, btw. @Amanda, you would surprised how many women wear "fake" stones and you would be non the wiser. Do your research before you give unsolicited advice that no even asked you for. I mean, did you even read the question that OP asked????????? (have a seat please, mmmmkaaayyyy????)
