elopement Invitations??

Erin, on February 18, 2020 at 7:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
So...my FH and I have been engaged for a little over a year and have been planning a roadtrip that includes a small Vegas wedding, but since my granny can’t fly out with our parents for the ceremony, we decided to do an at home surprise reception for those who couldn’t make it. How do I word these invites so that it still seems like a surprise reception, but without anyone trying to come to Vegas with us?! Lol

Is the reception going to be a surprise? Sorry, I'm confused about how you've worded this. You want to send invites for a surprise event?

As for the invite wording, it'd just be a delayed reception to celebrate your wedding, so you'd basically spell that out with "You Are Cordially Invited to a Reception to Celebrate the Marriage of x & x"

Hi there, Erin! Something like Megan mentioned would work, "You Are Cordially Invited to a Reception to Celebrate the Marriage of x & x". Just don't mention Vegas on the invite and no one will think they're invited to the actual ceremony Smiley smile

You’re right, I worded this weird. The entire wedding is a surprise bc we only announced to a few people that were even getting married, so I was trying to see how I word a reception invite to ppl who didn’t know I was getting married lol
