Elope with kids or big wedding with kids

You could have a smaller wedding and just have them attend as "guests".

I am a fan of small intimate ceremonies.

My son will be 5 and we aren't having him "in the wedding". We are having a small wedding though. It's an honour to be a guest.

A small wedding with just you and your kids would be a great family memory! Do you have other close family (parents perhaps?) who would like to come?

I totally see your point. I can't see FH and I having the wedding we're having now if we had kids (kids are more expensive than weddings!). Both our families are blended, and our families both opted for small but really personal weddings. His then went on a family-moon too so if you have extra funds, that could be awesome!

I would have a small wedding with parents, siblings, nieces/nephews, and kids. Then have all your kids involved as the bridal party. I do not see a reason for them not to be involved and it seems like you really want them to be apart of it. Big weddings are a lot and quite the hassle, I wish I could go back to my original plan of a small outdoor wedding.
