Hello! I've been having a really hard time finding a great place to get bridesmaid dresses. A lot of the places I have looked at don't carry the style of dresses I am looking for. I want a more elegant cocktail evening dresses for my bridesmaids and I'm not sure about buying dresses from China......

@Nancy-again with the judgment. Stop trying to tell people how they should live their lives according to your dated standards. It is one thing to state your opinion, it is quite another to push your beliefs onto everyone else.

OP, don't order your dresses from China. Especially something that needs to fit the way this dress style does.

I can't wait to see Nancy's BAM. You know, since she's got everything down.

Holy hell, my BMs and I will have cleavage without even trying.

Methinks someone doth protest too much. You know what they say about people who complain about what other people have...

OP, I also think Rent the Runway or a department store's formalwear section is your best bet.

I was at David's yesterday and their formal/special occasion/prom section had some to DIE for gowns...I was ooh-ing and aah-ing left and right wishing I had a chance/the body to wear any of them!!

You will probably not find what you are looking for in a dress that is labeled a 'bridesmaid' dress...You will however probably be able to find something you like in a formal evening gown.

I had a dress from Jessica McClintock a few years ago that would probably fit your idea...so maybe see if there's a store of hers near you?

Oh god, Nancy. I legit even tried to defend you earlier in another thread saying that maybe you were just old-fashioned and ---nope, my bad. I shouldn't have done it. You really are the worst type of person.

Renttherunway.com has designer dresses galore and for the same average price you would pay for a typical one. Browse through select the ones you want your bridal party to choose from. They send like 3 size variations and when their done they send them back. Scary right...but they have reviews from real people who use them all the time unlike random online China shops....

We got the bridesmaids dresses from Weddington Way. It was online but it worked out since everyone had their measurements and the stylists were very helpful.

Just gonna say make sure your bridesmaids like the style too. I wouldn't be comfortable wearing what you posted above.

Macy's has a lot of nice evening gowns. I like Adrianna Papell dresses. They are sold at Macys, Nordstrom, Amazon, Dillards, Lord and Taylor etc. My SIL is wearing one of these dresses as a bridesmaid in her best friends wedding in February.

I'd definitely make sure this what your girls want before committing to them. All but one of my girls are busty and they all specifically said "No boobs spilling out", so we found dresses that kept them covered.

@miami thanks for the advice. I am very close with all of my BM and we all have an understanding on the dresses and honestly if a BM didn't like the style they don't have to be in the wedding. It is my day and I'm not into catering to other people, those are just my personal opinions. Also I'm personally not into typical bridesmaid dresses they are very unflattering and those style dresses do not match the theme of my wedding. The picture I posted above was just a style to show everyone what I meant by elegant/sexy.

Gosh Rejie - you had us in your corner until the, "if they don't like the style they don't have to be in my wedding."

Seriously? Look, I'd rock the shit out of that dress - flat-chested and all - but if I was uncomfortable wearing it I would hope you'd have a better attitude about it, and choose my comfort over your vision - not treat me like a fucking prop.

    Welp....heat's off Nancy now!

This site is so funny! I feel like everyone just bashes each other on WW. I stated my opinion but like I said all of my bridesmaid are also into my vision and we have had good discussions about it. I've been planning this wedding for 14 months already and my biggest problem has been other people's opinion. As the bride I have just decided that this is my wedding and everyone can't get what they want in my wedding. Sorry if my post offended anyone... I cannot please everyone at an event that I am paying for *sigh*

Also @gymrat I have seen Nancy's post on other discussions and she is very rude. I have not bashed anyone on this site I just said how I felt about my own wedding on a discussion I created. You can't hate me for my opinion. Nancy on the other hand.... Smh
