The weddings I've been invited to ranged from super casual weddings with no formal RSVPs to formal weddings with fancy RSVP cards and others in between. The weddings I've been invited to ranged from super casual weddings with no formal RSVPs to formal weddings with fancy RSVP cards and others in between. I have no idea how people make it work with no RSVPs. But I was wondering if rsvp through the wedding website would work? Is there a reason we need paper RSVPs? Are we more likely to get a response with paper than online?

TIA

We are doing online RSVP only and our deadline is Sunday. We have gotten a good amount of responses. I asked my mom her opinion first and she liked it. Then I asked a cousin her opinion and she said another wedding she went to did that and said it was much easier

@Ashley it might depend a little on what platform you use. I'm using Minted.

You search the name on the invite (can be done using just one of multiple names) and it will pull up the match that lists all the people in the group. So, for example, if my Grandma only types in her name, it will display bother hers and my Grandpa's because they are invited together. There's a drop down list for number of guests that will be attending and each invite has a custom max #.

I was able to create a custom question that people are filling out which is "Do you have any dietary restrictions or other accommodation needs that we should be aware of?"

So far no one has abused the question field although a couple people have used it to write a message if they RSVP'd regrets or if one of their children can't attend.

FH and I laugh about our question box sometimes because it seems that all of our vegetarian/vegan/nut-free/gluten-free guests have been the quickest to RSVP (we're veg too). We've been joking about what a needy bunch we are but the joke will be over once everyone else RSVPs as well.

    ETA: spelling

Thanks, everyone! This really helps. @Keladriel that's a great idea to have a question box for any dietary restrictions/necessary accomodations.
