East Coast Mini Moon Ideas

Can anyone recommend some places on the east coast (not the Jersey shore as that is where we live) for a 3-4 day mini moon in September? We have our honeymoon booked for Disneyland and a cruise out of CA. FH wants to go to Disney World in FL the day after the wedding from Saturday night to Monday afternoon, and I feel like I will be too exhausted for such a short trip. This is coming from someone who would never turn down disney lol

We went to Annapolis and really enjoyed it. We only went by for a day, but I wish we have allotted more time. It was such a beautiful town, and the food was AMAZING.

We're taking Amtrak down to Miami and then flying back home. The train trip itself is more the honeymoon than Miami since we'll only be there a day.
I've heard good things about North Carolina though I haven't been myself.
You could go the opposite direction and head up to Niagara Falls or New Hampshire. I've been visiting NH since I was a kid since my aunt lives up there and it's nice and peaceful if you want to relax.

We’re going to Portland Maine but you could maybe go to Newport RI, cape cod or Martha’s Vineyard if you wanted to stay in sourthern New England.

Are you looking specifically for the beach? or East Coast in general? Since you're getting married in September, I suggest the Finger Lakes region of upstate NY. There's a ton of wineries (if you drink) and apple orchards. My FH and I had our first official date at an apple orchard in that region Plus, in general, that area is very quaint. You could also take a day trip to Cooperstown (if you like baseball) or Ithaca (gorges and waterfalls)

We got an Airbnb for 4 days. It's a cabin in the mountains in Vermont. We stayed on the Outer Banks in North Carolina last summer for a vacation and it was beautiful. It wasn't my first time there but it was my FHs and he loved it.
