Easiest way to do place cards?

Jamie, on November 25, 2012 at 9:20 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

Any advice on how to print place cards? We have about 280 coming so I REALLY don't want to write them all by hand, but is there an easy template somewhere or places you can go to have these printed? Advice?!

I am sure there are tons of places you could go to have them printed. If you wanted to do them yourself and do a simple tent card look up avery products - tent card, and they have a template you can download to use with their product. Once printed they are easy to pull apart. there may even be cheaper brands but this is just a thought!

Just remember too.. you may have 280 coming but how many couples? You may need fewer cards

I am doing place cards for each guest.

I believe Avery has a templet for ones to print off. (I have been shopping here and there lol) But try Fed-ex or Kinko's to print them off if you want it done fast. Shouldn't cost a ton.

Another option are Avery clear labels. You can barely see them and it was a lot less expensive.

Are you suppose to do escort cards and place cards?

I also think labels are a great solution.

@Deb, here's my understanding of place and escort cards. You use place cards to reserve a particular seat at a table. Escort cards only tell guests which table to sit at, but they do not assign the seat.

So we had escort cards for all our guests (just the table assignment, not the seat), but we also had place cards at our table. Due to some family dynamics, it was important to make sure people have certain "neighbors" and not others. I hope it makes sense.
