E-ring & Wedding Band Order

My e-ring is a half size too large, so it's just a bit looser than I would like. Long story short, we got it resized, but it's still too big so I've been wearing a silicon ring adjuster with hopes that I'd put my wedding band (which fits perfectly) on after the e-ring to hold everything in place after the ceremony. Well, I've been reading that your band should go on first so it can be "closest to the heart" with the e-ring going on second. I understand that it's tradition to wear them in this order, but does it really matter? Will I get crazy looks if I wear it backwards (e-ring first and wedding band second)?

I am planning to wear my wedding band after the e-ring. I know a few people who do this and to my knowledge they don’t get any crazy looks. I know it isn’t traditional, but for me I like the idea of having my e-ring in closer as it is more protected and less likely to fall off and I am going to have a simple wedding band.

It’s totally up to you how you wear them! I don’t think anyone would judge or think twice about it either way lol. Another thing though even if you put the wedding band on first, your engagement ring may fit a little tighter when there’s another band on below it, so just try it both ways

I plan on wearing my wedding band after my ER. They’re both the same size, but for some reason the band feels more snug. I would prefer to keep my ER safe from falling and don’t know anyone else who does this.

Wear it however it feels most comfortable to you. I’m sure somebody will remind you that it typically goes the other way but I would just smile and say “I know”.

The tradition on this seemed a little blurred to me after doing some research actually! I think whatever you prefer is fine, I don’t think anyone really takes notice to it. I will probably do wedding band after e-ring too, partially because I think it looks best but it also makes sense to me to wear them in the order their received- the wedding band “locking in” the engagement ring.
