I bought extensions that were just a tiny bit darker than my hair. So I decided to try to dye my hair a little darker- now it's almost black!! I normally have medium brown hair with reddish tones (not ash or golden). Now the top is dark brown but the ends are almost black. What can I do to lighten...

I only have a couple weeks before the wedding!!

Z- We seem to have the exact same hair then lol, when i meant reddish tones they will be no different than the ones you currently have or said you have had. I used the color oops, the next day i dyed it l'oreal light brown and it was the color i oringinally wanted to have. I always have reddish tones especially in the light! I promise it will not turn out terriable!

Ok, so let's see if the WW Gods are just F^@king with me...

The problem is that the goal is to get my hair to match my extensions, and they are medium/dark brown with no red. I'll probably have to just keep trying to lighten what I have 'cause there is very little red in it right now. (For me, black is the only color that trumps red). Thanks though. If I do decide to do the color oops I'll let you know. If I did the color oops how long would I have to wait to dye it for it to not be extra sensitive to the dye and therefore come out the color you expect it to?

The Color Oops box actually tells you that you can redye it as soon as you wash the color oops out, i waited the next day only to give my hair 24 hrs to breathe and all weekend when this happened i didnt blow dry it or anything just to give it a break!

Have decided to return the color oops and new color. My hair is really close to being the right color, i don't want to damage it any more and take the chance of the color being even worse. So I'm sitting with olive oil on the ends of my hair right now (thanks for the tip Ladylee) and will keep washing the dark parts and cross my fingers! Thanks everyone!!!!

Wow! The olive oil really helped 'cause I missed a spot and can see the big difference!!! I'll be wearing my extensions to my doe party this weekend so I'll try to post some pics so I can see if they look good enough for the ceremony. Thanks again!
