My fiancé works in construction. What is a good, durable wedding band we should get for him?

My fiancé is a mechanic and we're going with tungsten because of its durability and various options that are available.

I got FH titanium because he works in a warehouse. He hasn't worn it yet obviously but we were told it was the most durable.

ETA: I had not idea about being able to cut it off in the event of an emergency so now I'm glad we did choose titanium. Learned something new.

I got my husband a titanium ring for outside of work & a silicone band for work. He does HVAC & could lose a finger if his ring got caught on something. The silicone ones break in that case. Titanium is very durable. The only thing that sucks about them is they can't be sized so you have to be sure to order the right size.

FH and I both work with machinery, so I got myself an Enso, and him a Qalo for everyday and a Tungsten carbide for going out.

My FH went with ceramic. He is an electrician so any type of metal is completely out of the question. Plus, if he gets the ring caught on something the ring will break apart rather than degloving him (yuck). The company we went with has 100% lifetime guarantee and will replace the ring if/when it breaks. We also got silicone bands for each of us for times we don't want to damage our regular rings (working out, camping, et cetera).

Do not buy a titanium ring!!! Exsoecially if he works with his hands. They are nearly impossible to cut off if something is to happen. FH runs a lathe so he cant even wear his ring at work. I suggest your FH does the same.

My husband also works construction. He has a white gold wedding band but does not wear that at work. He wears a silicone wedding band for work.

Qalo rings are awesome and great for working with your hands! We're both getting them for work. Amazon even has cheaper bands and they come with metallic colors that look like a band. Please consider these, they're way better than losing a finger! Plus, you can get multiples and wear different colors everyday if you wanted!

My fiancé is a mechanic. He is going to have a special compartment in his box to keep his ring. If his hand hits something wrong and his finger swells up, he could seriously hurt himself. We've heard horror stories - I won't share because how nasty they are, but consider getting him a regular ring and a chain to wear around his neck at work, or a pouch to keep it in his tool belt, safe from damage and keeping his finger actually on his hand.

My husband wears a silicone ring on a regular basis and a tungsten one for when he wants to wear something nicer.

I ordered my FH ring from Etsy. It's carbon fiber and super thin and light. He's a welder. He's getting us rubber rings too. He'll wear that to work.

Someone suggested to me a work band which is plain and less expensive and then the real deal which he would wear on special occasion, church, or date night.

My FH is an electrician on industrial and commercial sites and I am buying him a tungsten band but a silicone one to wear to work. This way if anything happens it's just a silicone band! Not conductive and can take a beating. He will keep his nice tungsten one for after work and weekends
