Dry ice effect. Yay or Nay?

Gaby, on April 3, 2018 at 10:32 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 35
I saw this photo and thought about incorporating dry ice to the reception for the first dance with my FH. It looks like you are dancing in a cloud, but also looks a bit scary. Can’t decide?
Thoughts?

It looks super cheesy to me. Maybe for prom, but not your wedding.

I think it's dated, and cheesy to do this.

I’m not a fan either. This seems weird.

You do you, but I'd roll my eyes at this if I ever saw it. So cheesy and needlessly extra.

This is really common with African weddings. And it's really beautiful when done. The only reason I'm not doing it is because its has been done in almost every wedding I have attended. If it's not common with your circle go for it. Its beautiful when done.

Not necessary, but if you want to have the magical moment, go for it!

I work with fog a lot -- and it is not as easy as it looks -- to get it to hug the floor like that you have to chill it, which requires a speical machine -- which usually is a big barrel with a hose. If they get a fog machine, the fog will immediately rise in the air and just blocks everyones view.

This! And it can leave the floor wet and/or slippery too.

Most venues use dry ice with hot water, so it gives the rolling effect.

@OP it’s so dated. My venue offers it and I’ve seen t at so many weddings, going back over 15 years. Its silly.
