Drops of Jupiter....father/daughter song?

Panda Bride, on April 1, 2011 at 10:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Hows this for a father daughter song? I couldn't find anything that wasn't either too cheesy, too creepy sappy, too fast, or too slow, but then I found this and I love it.

I'm obsessed with this song and I think it would be a great father daughter dance song. However, I would also use it for just about anything since it melts my heart. So I guess I'm biased. Good choice!

Well I just let my mom hear it. she said "I don't even see how that relates to a father and daughter". I was like ummm the song doesn't have to have the exact words father or daughter in it, its just a good song. She still doesn't get it, and doesn't like it, go figure...

Well you could swing in a come-back from another post and say ummmm well I dont see how the chicken dance has anything to do with loving my FH forever either...... By the way mom, your leading that dance, right?

Hmmm I loooove that song, but to me, coming from a father, it sounds more like what he would say to his daughter after she broke up with a boyfriend/fiance/husband, rather than what he would say to her when she gets married. It's kind of like "you left to go find yourself and chase a falling star, and you're finally back because things didn't work out, but you're a little different now." It's a great song but in my opinion, not really fitting for a father/daughter dance.
