How much weight did it take for you to go from a size 12 to a size 10 in dresses?

Its hard to say because weight is different how everyone carries but I'd say it's probably 1-2 inches , so maybe 10 pounds?

Yeah, I read that the larger you are, the more it takes to drop a size and the less you weigh, the less amount of pounds between sizes. But just wondering what it was for someone similar to me. I bought a size 10 because 12 was too loose but 10 was definitely too tight.

It depends on if your are dropping fat or losing inches. The scale for my right now is not moving drastically but I have been increasing my lifting at the gym to tone. It also depends on where you carry your weight like my problem areas are my hips and butt and the lower region overall.

Everyone carries weight differently. I gained the freshman 15 in college and went from 148 (size 8) to 123 (size 2).

I must be a bit shorter than you. 5ft I went from a 123 to 145 (at my highest) and dress size 4 to 10/12 ish but I never paid attention to the weight from one size to another. I lost about 6lbs and my dress fitting is in 5 days and wedding in 2 weeks. 🤞🤞

I'm 5'6"! I didn't pay that close of attention either. I just remember noticing my nike shorts being super tight and weighing myself and being completely shocked. I'd been consistently 130ish since high school and all of the sudden I was 148. I decided to do Whole30 and lost almost all the weight, dropping back down to 132. I was probably a size 4ish at that point. Then I graduated, stopped going out and drinking beer, cut back on fast food, and dropped to my current weight of 123 (size 2).

Nice! I was consistently 123 in HS and even first couple years in college but one day everything was too right and I was two sizes up 😂 I tend to hover around 141. I tend to get into a routine, eat right and exercise, and I'll go down to 135 but then get off track and start all over. I don't want to lose for the wedding I just want to finally stop giving up! 🤷🏽‍♀️

It sucks but we sometimes do not see the difference but try wearing some clothes and see how they fit lol. It maybe depend on how your dress is designed. I was advised against a mermaid because even if I gain a bit of weight in the a line I have it will be less problematic but upper is not usually a problem for me.
