"Drop down" wood hearts guest book

Riah, on September 7, 2017 at 4:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

For who has used one of these, what have you used for writing on the hearts? I'm afraid a sharpie will bleed weird and a pen might be hard to write with on them.

Do you have enough hearts to do a test run? I'm sure fine tip sharpie will be fine

Have you thought about using a lab marker? Sharpie can be removed with alcohol, lab markers can not.

I usually see those tiny fine line Sharpies.... I'd test a couple...

My cousin had this as did another friend, both used Sharpie pens. they did not bleed.

However, be careful with the openings, my friend got one and the opening was not wide enough for the hearts to fit through. My other friend and I tried to drunkenly fix it and it would not fix at all. In the end, she just had everyone put their pieces in a bowl and when she took it home she put the hearts in. (Disclaimer: My friend and I did not break it, the holes were literally just not wide enough for the hearts. It was like something was in the way).

I don't have this same thing, but mine is a wooden guestbook where you sign leaves of a tree rather than hearts. I am planning on using fine point Sharpie pens.

Definitely test out a couple hearts, if you have any to spare. Otherwise, stores like Hobby Lobby sell wooden shapes and maybe you can buy some to test on? I doubt they'd be exactly the same, but it may help give you an idea.

I think I have enough for a couple test hearts. Thank you for the suggestions!
