Drinkware help!

Rachel, on June 21, 2020 at 9:01 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 9
Help! I had thought I would just a some cases of mason jars for my wedding and put chalk stickers on them for labeling purposes. When Did mason jars get so expensive?! Does anyone have any alternative ideas or suggestions? Or know of any places to find 16oz mason jars for a reasonable price?! Thanks in advance!

The dollar tree has some Mason jars sometimes. Goodwill and reuse stores has so many glasses for 10 cents you could do a mix and match. Renting is ~30 cents a glass. Or you could have higher end disposable cups.

The packs of mason jars can get really cheap actually at places like michaels or when Walmart and target have them on sale!

In addition to what the others said, keep an eye out for coupons like the 50% off ones from Michaels. Also check wedding resale sites.

Don’t know when your wedding is but that Wish website sells them really cheap... Takes a while to get because I think they come from China. Think I saw 12 16 oz ones for $7. Check it out

I'm not sure how many you need but Walmart sells them in a case that I thought was decently cheap. I bought a case of my centerpieces for under $10 I believe.

You can also try hardware stores. Especially if you live in a city/near colleges, a lot of times the small hardware stores have that kind of stuff (in the kitchen/tupperware section) and it tends to be pretty cheap. Another idea would be to keep any jars you use until your wedding and tell your immediate families/closest friends to do the same thing. If you (and your friends/family) intentionally buy things in glass jars (instead of plastic) and if you buy canned things, get them in jars instead whenever possible, you can probably come up with a decent number of them. And if you need to supplement them with purchased jars, you will at least have saved some money.

I think you just need to shop around for better prices. I agree buying in pack at like Michaels, Walmart and coupons help. Check out rental companies. Or aliexpress.com, wish.com or hobby Lobby.
