You can't extend the 3 hours? My venue had a set price for 4 hours but we were having a 5 hour reception so they just increased the price per head to cover the total hours.

My venue has a 3 hour open bar with an option to extend for a pp price. Is that an option?

My venue only did drink tickets even though we paid for them. (We couldn't leave the drink tickets at the bar). So we had to do it that way. No one minded and it worked out great!

If people stop booking with venues that do drink tickets or venues that advocate pulling a bait and switch (turning into a cash bar halfway through), maybe they'll change their ways. But as long as people book with these places, they think what they're promoting is okay.

I like the idea of leaving the tickets at the bar.
