First time I went I had my mom and two sisters. The second time it was me my mom and FMIL. I have a good relationship with her and she doesn't have any daughters so I thought she might like to experience dress shopping. It's up to you! Make sure you are comfortable

I invited my FMIL because I wanted her to be included (we also have a good relationship). It ended up just being my mom and I (my FMIL wanted to be a special moment for my mom and I) until we found “the” dress and then my FMIL came to see it too!

I didn’t invite mine. I don’t particularly care for her. I would only invite your FMIL if you value her opinion and have a good relationship with her. Wedding dress shopping can be vulnerable. It’s best to have people you feel comfortable with and support you.

I invited mine. She doesn't have any daughters, and her son's wife (now ex-wife) didn't ask her to go, and I know she was really disappointed by that. We had a great time, and my mom went with us as well.

I have a decent relationship with my FMIL, but only had my mom go with me dress shopping. I get pretty self-conscious with my body and didn’t want to add additional stress. Now I did invite her, along with my mom, grandma and bridesmaids to pick it up.

If you have to ask, I probably wouldn't. Wedding dress shopping is a very vulnerable time, especially if you have body image issues or don't fit into the sample dresses. It's not the time for courtesy invites. In some dresses your bra may be showing through, or your back may be uncomfortably exposed.

I invited mine along with my fiancé's grandma. I have a great relationship with them both. His grandma was the most excited one there lol
