Okay, no pretty bridal store try-on, just my messy bedroom and total mirror selfie. It was an unheard of 100 degrees where I live today so this was a miserable try-on.. Thanking god I'm getting married in the nice, cool fall..

I found a lace-up back so I may not have to have many alterations done, except adding decorative sleeves on the sides, but I'm not sure what style yet.

Y'all- I am experiencing some serious dress regret right now. I got this a couple weeks ago, I'm stationed across the country from home so no family there with me but a close friend. I like the dress... but I don't know if I LOVE the dress. But it is perfect for our little backyard/wooded ceremony.

This is my wedding dress. I know it's not typical. My fiance and I are historical reenactors. That's how we met. We're having a Victorian themed wedding in a historical house and most of our guests will be dressed in Victorian attire as well. I made the dress myself from duponi silk. The best part is I'll be able to wear it over and over again at our reenactments.
The first picture is the finished dress with all the trim. The second picture is me wearing it.

My dress needs altered yet.

Just had my finaly fitting yesterday!
We added a ballgown slip and bustle.
I brought my jewelry set (headpiece and necklace) to appointment to get a sense of complete look, and... I love it. Feel like a princess. Might be a bit extra for some. 🤣
