You bet! 😀 I would highly suggest checking them out! They have a wide variety of dresses in all styles and sizes, and they tend to be more affordable than a lot of other places! Plus, they work with a lot of big-name designers who create dresses specifically for them for much cheaper!

It’s all relative. My ceremony gown cost more than 5k. You have to remember what’s 5k to you may be more like 500$ to someone else because of the difference in finances. We shouldn’t say an amount is “too much” or “ridiculous” because that only speaks to your situation. It would not be nice if someone said your dress is cheap because you have a smaller budget than they do. Everyone has their own take on what’s appropriate to spend but we should all be respectful of budgets regardless of what it is.

Agree! I spent over $5k on my dress (with alterations) and it’s because it was within my budget. Everyone has different budgets. None of them are ridiculous or too much unless it’s actually too expensive for them to be able to afford and they’ll go into debt because of it. Even then, that’s their prerogative. It’s their money anyway. ::shrug::

It’s a brand. Google it, they’ve got some cute dresses. I went and tried some, but they were too boho for my style. My sister found a great dress and it looks so good on her!

Yeah, I complained and they gave me back 50% of the alterations cost so I could go somewhere else to fix the issue. You’d think that the in house alterations dept can fix these dresses right.

I gave my sister advice after my debacle and she paid so much less for everything. Crazy.

As others have said, a dress budget needs to be what you can afford and what you WANT to spend on a dress. Personally, I also think it generally should fit proportionately within the overall wedding budget. I remember there was a bride on this forum who frequently talked about spending $8000 on her dress, but then would share plans for a potluck reception because they couldn't afford catering. That struck me as odd.... Daughter's overall budget was around $30,000; her dress/attire budget was $2000 (all in -- so including alterations, shoes, veil, etc.). She found the Rebecca Ingram line, part of Maggie Sotero. She loved those dresses and they topped out at about $1200. It turned out she found her dream dress within the RI line; with taxes it was ~$1200. Alterations were another $450. I made her veil for about $25 and she chose to wear Converse, so in total, her attire was under $1750 -- $250 under budget! Smiley winking

I've read many posts from brides who found very budget-friendly dresses at Azazie (online, but they will send dresses to try on for a nominal fee). Also, because of all the Covid-related wedding changes, my understanding is that the inventory on used/resale wedding dress sites (like StillWhite, Poshmark, etc.) is HUGE, so that might be an option to consider. Good luck! Smiley heart

Very true. However, spending that kind of money for a dress that you’ll only wear once... personally I would spend it elsewhere.

And there is nothing wrong with that. I, on the other hand was willing to pay whatever the price tag stated for my dream dress. When I saw it I knew it was the dress for me and I had to have it.

Exactly. As long as the bride is happy with her gown then I’m happy for her.

It 100% depends on your budget. My dress and veil would've come to $1800 but I had a family member who worked at Men's Warehouse - who is affiliated with David's Bridal (where I got my dress), and they got me a discount. I only ended up spending a little over $1000 for my dress and veil after taxes.

Its whatever you're comfortable spending! I wanted to keep my dress budget under $1000. My dress cost me $550 (without alterations) So I was very happy to fall in love with a gown that was way under budget!
