I went to a bridal shop that we have in town here in Louisville, KY. Before I went dress shopping I was on pintrest looking and saving dresses that I loved and ending up getting a dress like one of the dresses I saved.

I ordered my dress online too! People will always have something to say about your wedding. Wear the dress that you love! I popped into Davids bridal and felt all the dresses looked the same and weren’t my style. They were pretty, but I wanted something more unique that I could only find online. Like my grandma (married 50 years) always said, “do what’s right for you and your marriage! Don’t worry about anyone else.”’

I did mine online from DB and it was great. I chatted with an associate and they gave me and addition 15% off of the dress. I just have to get alterations done.

I got mine from Mary’s bridal they are a great quality I ordered mines online it was better than the picture it looks amazing, it’s up to your budget!!

I went to David's Bridal. I think there are tons of cute dresses on Amazon, depending on how casual you want to be, heck, in high school I got MY FAVORITE prom dress off of eBay. Wear what makes you feel comfortable. I think looking at what is important to you to help make your decision. Do you want something high quality and durable (to keep as a keepsake/pass down)? Going to a Bridal store would provide you with better options, but also a higher price tag. Are you just wanting something comfortable and your feelings are "I'm only going to wear this dress for one day", then getting something from Amazon or another online retailer would be the way to go. There is no "one size fits all" solution to this. The other thing to remember if, the deal is "too good to be true" it probably is.

Davids Bridal isn't the only Bridal Dress shops out there but they are the best price wise and you can get some dresses same day with them...so yeah I'd suggest going and wandering through and see how you feel. I did get my dress there after looking elsewhere. I got a sample on black friday and they took $100 off so it was a mega-deal!

I think it's better to go to david's bridal just to try stuff on so you have a better idea of what looks good on you and what you'd like because seeing something online and actually trying it on are really different.

for buying anything online, look at user photos and reviews, make sure you know the return or refund policy and if it's cheap enough that you're ok for taking the risk of buying then go for it!

Babes, whatever dress you feel beautiful in is The Dress. It doesn’t matter the price if you know how to to put it together. It’s a one night dress that you’ll never wear again. Don’t go overboard but make decisions that fit your needs.

I went to DB, Bliss, and Azure today. DB has the dress I want but it’s 2-3x what I want to pay, not the right size, and I’ll need a lot of alterations. Azure said they’ll call me back, and I saw 1 but in a 2X size in Bliss. They said it’s best to make an appt to research in their cataloges and get one ordered. These were more of my price range however they were already swamped w teens and prom moms. I’ll have to go back.

View Quoted Comment I definitely wanna try actual bridal stores, including David's bridal, I've been there before when my mom renewed her vows! I just don't know if they'll have what I'm looking for since black dresses are a little harder to find. Most bridal stores have only or very close to only the traditional white (or at least the few I've been in, not shopping for myself)
Hopefully by the time I start shopping the variety will be wider!
