Dress too tight at back

Fdranda, on September 10, 2017 at 2:36 PM

I had my alteration appointment yesterday and she told me there wasn't anything she could do to fix it. It looks like my back has a butt crack. Has anyone else had this issue?

I agree with PPs, go to another seamstress. I don't see how a bra could do that. It's obviously the wrong size. Do you know what size you ordered? Check the tag on the dress to make sure it's correct. If there is no tag, ask to see the order.

I would take it to another shop to be honest. How could they not do anything?

Yep, agree with PP...find another seamstress. They should offer suggestions & the veil idea isn't a decent one suggestion :o

Either they measured you wrong or they ordered the wrong size. I would take it somewhere else, there is definitely something that can be done. I can't believe she said your veil would cover it... like you're going to wear your veil the whole time... Plus that looks uncomfortable.

No. That's not okay. Your dress needs to be let out more. It obviously doesn't fit and that's their job to make it fit

I would go somewhere else definitely, and maybe consider a corset back instead

This happened to me too. Fit perfectly around my bust when I bought it, it needed alterations at the waist and she ended up taking it in all the way up through the bust. When I tired it on for the final fitting she's stuffing the fat back down into the dress telling me it was normal. what?! I dealt with it since it didn't look too too bad depending on how I stood or where my arms were. There were a few photos where I had to photoshop it out because it looked terrible, especially if someone was squeezing me for a hug. I'd definitely say something to your seamstress. I wish I had....

Take it to someone else. You can add a corset.

And try it without the bra, that could help too and they can sew in cups instead

I found it hard to believe they can't do anything about it. Try taking it to another seamstress

Wow! That is WAY too tight! I would take it somewhere else for a second opinion! You have to have options. They definitely overly reduced the size!

Go somewhere else, if you aren't happy it's going to weigh on your mind and stress you out even more. It's a Pretty dress by the way.

Can you try it without a bra? Is that an option? I would definitely talk to someone else!
