So I’m really beating myself up right now but I bought a dress my first time out a few weeks ago and it’s in already. 🤦🏻‍♀️ My wedding is not until October 2020. I have already had dress regret a few times but now I really don’t know how to store the dress for 15 months. My fiancé and I also live...
So I’m really beating myself up right now but I bought a dress my first time out a few weeks ago and it’s in already. 🤦🏻‍♀️ My wedding is not until October 2020. I have already had dress regret a few times but now I really don’t know how to store the dress for 15 months. My fiancé and I also live together. Any suggestions on what to do to preserve my dress and store it for over a year? Oh and to STOP my dress regret too? Smiley sad

As long as you have a garment bag that he can't see through you should be fine. i had my dress in my house for about 10 months before my first alterations appointment and as long as you don't continue to touch it(oils on your hand can turn in yellow),and leave it alone it will be fine.

i agree with everyone else about dress regret. Delete all other photos and STOP looking at dresses. i know i loved my dress when i tried it on, and then you see other dresses and you can't help but think you missed out. I had my first alterations appointment this month, i hand't had the dress on since last September. I had forgotten how much i loved my dress. it's hard to remember that feeling you had when you tried it on. Trust your gut. It told you that was dress already so believe it. i know it's a long time to wait, and it's so tempting but be confident that you made the right choice.

I got a dress bag from DB to put it in so FH couldn't see it. We also live together. We have tiny closets and the dress wouldn't fit so I just put a picture hanger up and hung it on that in our bedroom. I'm not worried that he will peak as he is very adamant about not seeing the dress until the day of. If that won't work, do you have a family member that can hold it for you? As far as the dress regret, remember what you loved about the dress to begin with and not looking at anymore dresses will help as well. Focus on your timeless and what else needs to get done so you stay busy. Good luck and congrats on finding your dress!
