Dress Shopping w/out Mom?

My mom and I have been in a fight since before my engagement. We are now at the point where we do not even talk. I want to/ need to go look at wedding dresses but that is supposed to be a special time for mothers and daughters. Do I wait for her to possibly come around (because I have gave up...

My mom and I have been in a fight since before my engagement. We are now at the point where we do not even talk. I want to/ need to go look at wedding dresses but that is supposed to be a special time for mothers and daughters. Do I wait for her to possibly come around (because I have gave up trying) OR do I think about myself and go look at wedding dresses?

    I would invite her to come with you. Maybe it will be just what brings you back together and gets communication started again.

    If you ever do make up, you'll be sad if you miss going with her. My mom was awful during the whole wedding planning and was mean during the dress shopping, but she's my mom and I love her faults and all.
