(This is pretty long....)
I just need somewhere to rant because I feel like my thoughts are falling on deaf ears.
I went dress shopping a couple of weeks back, tried on five dresses and fell in love with the last one I put on. I didn't buy it that day, I took some time to think about it. My godmother, whom I love dearly, is the main one who asked me to continue to look because $800 is a lot (it's on sale & I can pay for it). To appease people, I agreed to look some more and even did the Try Before You Buy option from Azazie, needless to say I didn't like anything. Nothing made me feel the way I did in that other dress, but I'm listening to everyone around me. I made a new appointment for the same shop but plan on trying similar style dresses that don't cost as much just to see if I feel the same. A cousin is in town and now they're both trying to get me to go look in LA (because it's cheaper). I'm just sad? I don't want to keep looking for a dress, I want to just find something and be done. To go to Los Angeles means waking up at dawn to go searching for something that I feel like I already found. Am I just being unreasonable? I just feel like no one is really looking at what I want, I'd rather not go from place to place dress shopping.
I'm sorry this feels long, I'm just tired.

If you are paying for it and it makes you happy then buy it! Don't let other people influence you and talk you into doing something that you don't want to do!

I didn't realize how easy it was to allow others to influence your decision especially when it comes to this wedding, it's like I didn't want to make a mistake & spend too much or make a decision too soon. I did pick & buy the dress I wanted and was still asked "you don't think you're jumping the gun?", wedding dress shopping isn't the same as searching for shoes or something, I don't want to search through 10+ stores.

BUY THE DRESS YOU LOVE BUT please dont forget to enjoy the experince along the way with your loved ones. Dress shopping and searching is all a part of the process and creating memories.

My dress was around the same price and I paid for it myself. I had tried on 20-25 dresses (all different prices) thinking I was never gonna find the one before I finally did, worried that I would never have that bridal moment. If you had that bridal moment, stand your ground and tell your family and friends that you love that specific dress. It is your day and you should do what makes you happy.

I had that moment the first appointment & my consultant said it happens far more often than you think so she wasn't surprised I fell in love with one that day. However, my family felt maybe I needed to shop around more & I only did so to appease them, but the second I saw that dress again I knew. Tbh Shopping around isn't something I look forward to so I'm kinda relieved I found the one so soon lol
My fiance bought my dress since he said he wanted me to be happy.
