Dress shopping - long sleeves

I will say that, as a plus-sized woman, David's Bridal made my experience really nice. They carry a wide range of sample sizes, so I was never forced to put on a size 8 and have it clipped to oblivion. My stylist listened to my feedback and put me completely at ease. I also discovered that trying on samples larger than my size and clipping them tighter made me feel MUCH better than clipping too-small dresses to my bra, but that was just me!

I haven't decided what I'm going to do re: sleeves because I'm getting married outdoors in September in Indiana. Talk about a weather crapshoot!

But that's something to keep in mind. Wedding dresses are HOT and I know us plus ladies tend to get warm easily. It might be nice to just have straps or shorter sleeves to stay cool during your day. You can always add a jacket/topper or shawl to warm up.

I’m also getting married on the beach in September in NC. our reception is outdoors as well so I’m definitely taking the heat into consideration as well! I do sweat very easily and don’t wanna look like a sweaty mess in photos haha

Fellow curvy girl here, I felt the same way dress shopping. I wanted something that would cover me from head to toe. I tried on a few with sleeves and hated it- they were stiff and itchy- I even went home with some minor irritation. In the end I found something totally outside my original idea of a dress.
