UGH! Ok so, I’m starting to have some dress regret, I think... I went to DB, really actually had a great experience and found a dress I LOVE.... But I’ve now seen several other people that have gotten married in the same dress. I LOVE my dress and my seamstress already has it, so there’s no exchanging it but I’m not sure why I even care if other people have the same dress... but I guess I just need a quick vent 😂 is this happening to anyone else? Hahahah ugh

Dress regret is real but a dress looks different on every person so I would try not to let it get to you.

Also, girl, you look BEAUTIFUL in that dress! I absolutely love it!!

I don't regret my dress at all but I was bummed when I went to the designer website and saw that their model on the cover page is wearing it. When I got my dress it was at a trunk show and their site was still showing spring summer 19 dresses at the time. My first thought was..great now more people are going to get it because of that. Haha like it actually matters.

So I know how you feel.

Ugh, the dress regret. The struggle is real! Let me start by saying your dress us gorgeous and you look great in it!

I think the hardest part about buying a dress is that you can't show it to everyone (otherwise it won't be a surprise) so you don't get a lot of affirmation that you chose well. But try to trust your instincts - you've obviously got good taste, and when we second guess ourselves we run into all kinds if shoulda-coulda-wouldas.

I have the dress regret something fierce, but mostly because I always wanted the big, princess dress and all we can afford is a back yard bbq in a very tight space, so I had to find something simple (read: not poofy) that would keep me warm because we're doing it in February. I see beautiful, poofy, bedazzled princess dresses all over Pinterest and this website and feel my heart sinking. But I just have to remind myself that I chose the most practical dress for our big day and it's still beautiful, otherwise I wouldn't have chosen it.

I also found out LITERALLY RIGHT AFTER PURCHASING that the dress I chose was on a lot of adverts and brochures for DB so every time I see their ads, there's my dress. Still not sure if this is good or bad. LOL.

Oh well. Just remember you're going to look great and that you'll feel as amazing as all the other brides did when they wore that dress 😊

Girl, I was so going to rant on and on about how to get over dress regret, but I love that dress, you rock it so well. I'm glad you feel better about your decision, so glad because you look like a stunner. Smiley heart

Sure am 🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️!!! I just look at it as, you picked a very popular dress which only means it must be pretty awesome lol! Sometimes I actually enjoy seeing it on others because I was so nervous about my purchase from the very beginning. So, seeing other brides look amazing in it helps keep the jitters away. Don't worry, your day will be completely different and no one will look like you in your dress!

First let me say - Your dress looks beautiful on you and I think you made a great choice!
But I totally understand what you mean about dress regret! I went through that too the day after I bought my dress. The first time I walked into a bridal shop, I tried on a few different styles of dresses just to see what I liked. I ended up trying on a ballgown (1st pic) that I absolutely LOVED the look of, BUT it was really heavy and the top was a bit itchy because it was a high lace neckline. I’m getting married in June in California’s Central Valley so I honestly didn’t know if I could deal with how heavy and itchy and hot that dress would be. I ended up going back to the shop a few more times and found a dress that was similar, but so much lighter (2nd pic) and that’s the dress I ended up getting.
Through my dress shopping, I made the mistake of sending the pic of the first dress to one too many people (to help me decide if it was THE ONE lol) and after I bought the second one, I was worried that I should have gotten the first dress because “What if everyone who saw the first dress thinks I should have gotten that one?” and “The first dress is so much more elegant!”
It took my roommate sitting me down and spelling it out for me - “Rebecca, your guestbook is a puzzle, your centerpieces are bowls full of Legos and your groomsmen will be wearing superhero cuff links and tie clips. When have you and Jared ever been elegant?” It sounds harsh, but it was honestly so true and snapped me out of my dress regret! She described my dress as fun and whimsical, which is exactly what our wedding is about and I also realized the second dress would go much better with my white Converse idea 😁
I love my dress, but my ultimate concern/cause of dress regret was that the people who saw both dresses would think I was stupid/silly/dumb for choosing the second one over the first.
LONG STORY SHORT - we as brides have to realize that we will look AMAZING, SPECIAL, GORGEOUS/ONE OF A KIND on our day, no matter what we wear! And really all that matters is that we’re happy with person standing next to us, right? 😉 everything else will fall in to place!
I know this post is a few months old so I hope your dress regret has subsided because you truly do look gorgeous!
