Dress regret help!!

Adrienne, on June 10, 2019 at 11:41 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14
Okay y'all PLEASE HELP!! I am having such bad dress regret because I bought my dress back in March and wanted something that I ~somewhat~ liked that was as cheap as I could get so we weren't pressed for money because we're paying for everything ourselves. And I keep buying accessories to add to it because I keep trying to make it what I wanted all along. So with the amount of money that I've spent on this dress, I could have bought something that was closer to what I wanted. I want a big ballgown dress (I don't mind the hi-lo cut of this dress), any ideas of how to make the skirt poofier with the hi-lo cut??

Hello! you could always add a petticoat. They sell them on amazon for pretty cheap, good luck! I think your dress is pretty as is though!

The other thing i would suggest is getting another detachable skirt that goes over it? There's those two in one dresses where the skirt comes off and underneath is another dress.
I love your dress though Smiley smile

Have you tried petticoats of levels of pouf, and A-line, bell and fuller ball gown shapes?

Is this the style you were set on? i bought a sample dress at a store going out of business and it's not really my taste but i got it at a bargain. Wedding dress: Casablanca Bridal style 1815 it's a size 14. i bought another dress and i've been trying to get rid of this one since it's just taking up space. there's been no alterations to it. if you're at all interested just let me know. it's very flattering with the rushing, there's nothing wrong with it, just not my personal style. if you think you can make it work let me know.

Your dress is so pretty! For extra poof, I'd try a petticoat!

You can have tulle added to it or purchase a petticoat. Then you can trim the petticoat to the length of the dress. I love your dress though! It is beautiful!

You could always buy a crinoline skirt, you should be able to find them on Amazon at a pretty reasonable price. I think your dress is very pretty though

I think you look beautiful. I have a full ball gown tulle dress from.a previously cancelled wedding. Never had it altered so will fit different height women but it's a tight lace bodice and requires a thin woman. I love it but it wont work for my destination wedding. Plan on standing on a box for height and taking some decent pics ) and maybe try to sell it on-line. Reminds me of the dress that Carol Hathaway wore when she almost got married on the show ER.

Look on some of the resale shops online if you want a new dress. You can get them for major discounts.

You guys have been amazing with suggestions. The detachable skirt and petticoat I ordered to help give the dress some poof came in today so I tried it all on and...... fail. Had a meltdown full of tears and decided that I could just sell my dress but keep the dress topper and return the Amazon purchases so I won't be out too much money. Ordered a $200 sample dress from DB today that I can return if I don't like or if it's too torn up (says it can contain imperfections, expecting the worst). UGH!!!!

You could get a layered tulle skirt to wear under it. Inexpensive and it would definitely give it more of a ballgown look.
