Dress picked, but... too simple?

When I walked in for my wedding dress appointment, and not wanting to go for flavor of the month wedding dresses, I chose a simple, timeless satin gown. It was the 5th dress I tried, and I immediately knew it was the one.

I'm kinda getting buyer's remorse now and thinking that it's perhaps way too simple and understated! Can I spice it up somehow? I already picked a different veil for it, cathedral with lace embroidered trip. Is there anything else I can do?

PS: The dress here is the sample they had at the showroom, slightly big on me. My actual gown will arrive next month.

Whew! I'm glad it was met with approval! I'm in love with it, but couldn't shake the feeling that people would say "Ok so you wore a puffed up nightgown?" Smiley tongue

Colorful bouquet, statement earrings and pretty lipstick it is then! Thanks for the tips!

I think its beautiful on its own. However if you feel its too simple I agree with adding a belt. You look perfect in it!

That dress is classic, and gorgeous. IMO I wouldn't touch the dress, if you want to glam it up you can do so with accessories.

It's not too simple, it's classic and elegant and GORGEOUS! You look amazing. That being said, picking one statement accessory is an easy way to bling it up a bit.

PLEASE don't change anything!!! I'm a huge fan of simple. It's timeless, elegant, and most of all brings all the attention to you! You want to be the one wearing the dress, not the other way around.

I think a gorgeous necklace of drop earrings would go well with your dress. I love it! So classic and really lets you be the center of attention. Sometimes dresses can take over the day.

I love the dress and during my time of trying to decide what to wear I considered a look like that as well

If you tried on other styles of dresses but didn't get the feeling, then I think they weren't the one.

I love the idea of a cathedral veil with lace trim- but partly because I'm biased and that's what I wore Smiley smile

I love the look of your gown, and if I was the one making the choice I wouldn't change it Smiley smile Care to share your ideas for accessories? I would love to see them!

It may be simple to you but it's stunning to us! WOW! You look amazing! I agree you could play it up with just the right amount of bling with your jewelry.

I think its lovely on you. A belt may help if you want more bling.

I bought a vintage satin ballgown with just a bit of sparkle on the bodice (seed pearls, tiny crystal beads). So, I love your gown!

My god sister did a simple strapless silk gown. She jazzed it up with a headpiece and a statement necklace.

I was taking a second look at your dress, and I wouldn't really call it simple myself, since it's a ball gown with a train, and I think the veil you described would be a wonderful addition.

This is a gown that imo doesn't need bling if you don't want to wear it. But I do think it would look great with bling as well.

Your dress is gorgeous. I don't think you need to add anything to the dress.

I think it is gorgeous! I wouldn't change anything! If you want something more add a belt but I don't think it needs it.

Wow! Its beautiful! I think statement earrings, a drop necklace with your veil and bouquet it will not feel simple. The structure of the dress is far from plain and the shine bumps it to the next level. Have you ever seen a red carpet gown that looked stunning and would be in the top best dressed, but had no beading or really any extra "fluff" that what I think when I see you in this dress.

Honestly I think a belt would take away from the silhouette and your tiny waist. And I think the earrings might age the dress in a bad way. They are super pretty but I think they go better with the lace dress she is wearing.
