With the picture you shared, I think you will look better in this mermaid dress more than an A-line. If you need to be practical, make sure you can stand, sit, dance, and any other activity for the wedding. Also, you can have a second dress that you could use in other wedding-related events that could be worn at any point during the reception.

I think you look fantastic! I thought the same, as someone with a lot of curves, but I ended up with a mermaid fit myself. I just had to find something that gave me the support I needed and kept everything in place. As long as you have that, I think it's a great dress.

One thing I always tell brides is that how you feel in your dress is just as important as how you look. If you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful wearing it, that's what really matters.
