Dress not in stock at the moment? 😭😭 help!

So I went to davids bridal about a month ago to try on dresses and I found the one its the Oleg Cassini Strapless Lace Ruffle Ball Gown. I am a plus sized bride so the dress I tried on was the champagne/ivory color. They told me it could be ordered in white. My mom is paying for my dress. Nobody could get the davids bridal credit card so we told them we would order it when my stepfather income taxes came in. Well i went to order it and for plus size its only available in the ivory/champagne mixture. Idk what to do!! I really want white. I love the dress so much but i dont think id be happy with it in champagne on the top. If it was full ivory id be like okay thats do able. The stores are temporarily closed so theres that. Should i settle for champagne? Go with a different dress? Idk. What should i do? They should have told me it was limited in white. The consultant i spoke to said sometimes it is available in plus size in white but currently its not.

Since ivory isn't the color that you initially wanted I would look around for other dresses just in case they aren't going to restock that dress.

I would hate for you to settle! Although often a champagne dress does look white depending on the lighting. I do not know what size you are, but I looked around some second hand websites and it looks like some people may be selling it in white:

There are other websites like Preowned Wedding Dresses, Once Wed, and Poshmark. A lot of them are brand new, the bring just changed her mind. I hope you find your dream dress!

I would look into other boutiques around you since they don't know when it will be in, you might even find something better - but if not, just keep that dress in mind!
I realize at this moment it could be difficult to do that with restrictions.

I agree with Meadow. I think you might be able to find it used, possibly unaltered even, and I agree with you. I bought this dress in champagne/ivory. The more I looked at it, the more I resented it. I think they wanted me to be in champagne because of my skin color, but the more pictures I saw of it in ivory the more I knew I hated the champagne. And at the time, I couldn't get the ivory by my date and I wanted a different shape anyway. As a plus size girl with the same dilemma, don't settle and get discouraged by the champagne ruffles like I was. Maybe you can find a similar dress in ivory. But I came to hate that dress and don't want you to do the same.
