Dress jewelry and maybe gloves?

Brittany, on August 21, 2019 at 12:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Hey lovely people, I have my shoes, veil, tiara, and dress picked out but I am needing some help with my jewelry and if I should do some gloves? My shoes are black flats with sparkles (attached). I also attached a photo of me in my dress with my veil and tiara. Please ignore the hair tie around my wrist and my necklace that I have on. My hair will be in a low bun on the back on head too. I also attached a photo of what gloves I was thinking but not sure yet. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank in advanced!

Mmm I just don’t love gloves with most dresses, it kind of dates the look but it depends on what look you’re going for! Your dress is gorgeous and sparkly and so princess! I think a sparkly bracelet would match your bodice. Or if your ears will be exposed go subtle on the bracelet and do longer earrings. Go FULL princess! That dress is stunning.

Yam, Thank you! I want to look classic princess because the dress is the "Belle" dress from Disney. She wore gloves and that's where that idea came from but I think you are right though. I was thinking about doing dangly earrings and a bracelet on the opposite side of my ring hand.

Don’t worry even without the gloves that definitely looks Disney Princess. I LOVE those tulle pickups! Belle’s gloves are long opera length, you could see how that length looks on you but I don’t think they’re needed, it already looks like Belle. ❤️ You could do something fun as a nod to Belle like get a bracelet or a locket or something with the movie’s rose on it, that would be fun.

I would also nix the gloves.

I usually don't like tulle but they did it so beautifully that I fell HARD for this dress! LOL I could test it out to see if that is something I want to do. I didn't even think of that! Thank you for that idea!

I agree about not using the gloves, specifically those gloves. They don't add to the "Belle" look you're going for, but rather, invoke memories of the 80s. I like the suggestion of trying long opera length gloves if you are really set on using gloves but I don't think you need them since your attire is pretty and "princessy" without them.

I definitely test out the long opera ones but I am starting to think that the gloves won't do LOL Thank you!

Hey Brittany, did you try on any gloves with your dress? I think gloves sound perfect for your theme but agree the dress is super glam on its own and would totally work without them

The dress is gorgeous and looks amazing on you. I’m just wondering why you are going with black shoes? This is definitely not a judgement question, but I’ve noticed others have gone with black shoes as well, and I’m just curious about whether this is a new trend?

Jo, I actually have not even tried my dress on since last summer so I probably should! LOL I will test out the gloves once I have my alterations! I really think it won't go but I am going to see!
