LAAADDDIIIEEESSS!!!!!!
My dress is so close to being finished! I tried it on at my aunts last night with the shoes I plan to wear and I just need a slip to give it a little lift and fullness to get it the right length from the floor when I walk.
She’s going to finish the sleeves, they’re half done right now but she showed me the two choices for sleeve lengths and I chose the shorter option so she’s going to cut and add elastic to it so I can put it where I want on my bicep and it won’t fall. Then she’s going to work on the delicate button loops on the back and possibly use some intact ones from the sleeve part that was taken off and add a metal clasp on the inside to take some stress off the buttons at the waist. She can take the waist out about half an inch, but I really need to lose about an inch and a half to two inches in my waist to button it comfortably.
I’m hoping to take a sleeve with me to find a veil that matches and I’m going with pearl earrings and hair accessories to match the appliqué and bodice of the dress! I’m so excited!!!! Once she’s finished I can have it cleaned since it was in a closet for almost 40 years
