Unfortunately, it might be the style of the dress or the type maternal the dress is made out of the that causes it to be heavy.

View Quoted Comment I personally wouldn't force anyone to spend more than they can afford. If they said they aren't comfortable going over $100 then that's what I would stick to. Azazie has some other beautiful dresses for $100 and less. I think it is better to compromise on a dress than to risk permanently damaging your friendships because you made them buy a dress out of their price range.

While that was definitely rude of her to say, we can't always expect people to act how we want them to or see our wedding as important as it is to us. The only thing I can say is maybe she is upset because she doesn't feel you are being flexible regarding dresses. Not saying that's actually the case, but it might be how she views especially if she said she wasn't comfortable spending more than $100 and you are pushing her to go overbudget.

Crepe is a lightweight fabric. Azazie and David’s are going to your best bets on a lower price spectrum.
