Dress for final dance?

I'm planning on staying in my wedding dress the entire evening, I didn't even realize it was a thing to change dress for the last dance, But I would say to wear a different white dress if you do want to change I love the idea of being in all white how many other days will you be the bride The floral dress you could wear on the honeymoon or other weddings in the future

Many brides wear their wedding dress the entire night because it’s the only time in their lives they will get to wear anything like that.

I wore my dress the entire night, including leaving in it. I don't think I've ever seen a bride change until the after party, if there was one. And then it's usually to sweats lol.

It’s a Sherri Hill, and then I’m having a pageant seamstress cut it short and make a detachable. I will be wearing this for the dancing and exit

Did you want to go for more of a comfort look, or more of the red carpet look?

So I stayed in my gown until our reception ended but I changed into a short white dress for our after party. I definitely recommend continuing to wear white—you’ll stand out!


We left for our honeymoon super early the next morning and I wore a tropical patterned maxi dress that was super comfy for our long flight but was also super chic and festive had we run into any guests! I wanted to continue feeling “dressed up”!

Idk why anyone would change for the last dance, especially since hardly anyone leaves straight from the reception to the airport anymore. It seems like an unnecessary expense, not to mention you already have an expensive wedding dress that you're never going to get to wear again! Might as well get all the use out of it!

I believe the changing for the last dance was only done for couples who were leaving directly from their reception to go on their honeymoon that night and would not be returning home first. This made sense in these situations so the bride was not forced to travel in/with her wedding dress and could leave it with a trusted friend or family member until the couple returned.

I wore my wedding gown all night and left in it. Unless you are going on honeymoon right after then I can see you changing. Most couples leave for their honeymoon the next day. I think it is a personal preference as to what you want to do.

Wow.. i intend to stay in my wedding dress all day, we are leaving after reception and driving right to the honeymoon spot, we will change out of clothes once we are settled in ..

I plan on wearing my wedding dress the entire night. For the money I paid for the thing, and as long as I’ve waited to wear it, I’m going to milk my time in it for all it’s worth! I’m not taking it off till we get to the bridal suite.

I’m planning on switching into a white slip dress for our final dance song and send off!

I will be changing into my reception dress after the first dance and keeping it on the rest of the night
