Hi guys!

I have my first dress fitting this weekend for my December wedding and I just wanted to know what to expect? Should I bring someone? I was looking forward to having this alone time during the planning but all things I'm reading are telling me to bring somebody. Thoughts???

No you don’t need to bring anyone! I only brought someone at my last fitting so they knew how to do the bustle. Just be sure to bring your shoes and any shapewear if you’re wearing some.

I didn't bring anyone to mine. I tried my dress on, the seamstress pinned me and we discussed the things I wanted done. I left it with her and picked it up about 2 weeks later. Then I took it to my parents house and showed them. I just went back 2 days ago for my final 2 week fitting to adjust a couple of things (I've lost a little weight since the last visit), and I picked it up next day. I did see a need to have anyone there. Only you know how you want your dress to fit and the seamstress is the expert.

You're not required to bring anybody! I did my fitting by myself with the seamstress

You are definitely not required to bring anyone. I did.. simply because I needed an honest opinion and I knew I would remain passive and not speak up if I didn't like something.. You should take your shoes, bra/panties, shapewear, slip, etc to every appt.
