I'm fearful of this myself, I ordered my dress in January and I've since gained 10kgs/20lbs (lost my job + covid = stress bingeing).

Weight loss is all about calories - eat less calories than you burn. Don't go too crazy though, alterations like this are needed all the time.

I don't have a fitting yet but FH and I have been dealing with our weight too. We just hired a personal trainer who will be doing sessions over video.

We'll be doing 3x a week and she will also be providing meal plans so hopefully we'll see some results within the next month or two. I want to try and set up my first appt by September/October.

I had my alterations started in March and then picked up my dress in May...it was a little tight after 3 months of quarantine! I have been using Beach Body on Demand to stream fitness classes at home. Most of the programs just require dumbbells and the streaming service is very affordable! They have tons of classes and programs to choose from. I am doing the morning meltdown program which is only 25-30 mins a day and easy to fit into my schedule each morning before I start working from home! Exercising everyday is also helping with all of this wedding/COVID/work stress 👍🏻

Try a low carb diet. That's what I did. I was 160 when I bought my dress in October. Started a low carb diet on March first and as of this morning I'm actually down to 134. I cheat every now and then and just get right back on the diet afterwards. You can do it! I also started running recently which I think might be helping.

The Best Way To Lose Weight Is To Create A Calorie Deficit. Count Your Calories Everyday-Drink Lots Of Water To Lose That Water Weight. Exercising Is Just A Fraction Of Weight Loss.

You Can Write Them Down In A Book Or Use An App On Your Phone. My Fitness Pal Is A Good One.

You can google it. You can have meats and cheese. Low carb wraps and just cut back on the snacks. Pay attention to net carbs. Not total amount of carbs. I know there are a lot of websites that you can find on google that will help out.

I think you'll be ok! If you'd prefer you can wait on the alterations for another 2 months so you're closer to the wedding date (and your wedding bod!) But in general it's always easier to take clothes in than it is to let them out!
