Dress doesn’t fit

gratia01, on March 16, 2020 at 7:40 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 4
I finally got to pick up my dress today after ordering it back in December. Since then I’ve coined about 10 pounds but I thought it could be ok. Nope! It wouldn’t zip. I’m devastated. Not because I can’t lose that weight. I still have 9 months til the wedding but I’m upset that I gained it in the first place. I’m so discouraged and worried I’m not going to be able to lose anything because every time I try I gain it back. I’m a stress eater and with everything going on plus the ups and downs of planning...it’s just a lot. I guess at this point I’m just venting but if anyone has words of encouragement or can relate I’d love to hear from you!

Girl I am the same way!! I have my dress at my aunts house since we live together and I went to try it on to show my sister. She hasn’t seen it yet since she lives out of state. And I couldn’t get the damn thing on and I just tried it on last in November! It made me so mad and upset because I need to get it altered. I don’t know if I should have it let out or just try and lose a few pounds in the next six months. I am stressing about it and I’m a stress eater too so it’s not helping me at all!! You have some time to lose the weight tho! I’m right there with you girl!

I empathize and can relate. My weight gain influenced the dress I chose. Something I don’t think I would ever consider.
Can you try to eat right maybe even three times a week? Then slowly increase it to five times a week ? I did this for gym work out. I started with 2 x/week then increases bad before corona I was at the gym 3-5x/week. Sometimes I’d only do cardio literally anything . It’s been REALLy hard losing weight. I used to be a 0-2 now I’m a 6-8 on occasion grabbing a 10. I’ve cried about it, ate pizza and wine about it. It’s a journey. I would say just TRY. Again with corona gym may be kinda tricky but try eat right most of the week. They say weight loss/ gain is 80% diet. Try to replace sugars with fruit , drink almond instead or regular milk, I drink a 1 carb wine mostly or liqueurs with fewer carbs. Limit bread. Baby steps . 10 lbs is easy to gain but harder to loose but I think you can do it if not close in 9 months that’s 1lb a month! Good luck. We are in this together. I’m 25lbs from my desired weight goal. Hugs xx

Don’t be discouraged. This is really normal for anyone. One tip my mom told me is whenever I get that inevitable urge to snack, drink a glass of water first and wait a few minutes to see if you are still hungry. Sometimes our brain tricks us into thinking we are hungry when we are really thirsty. Idk if it’s really a thing but it’s an idea that could be easy to try.
