I do love Allure, Essence of Australia, and Maggie Sottero! My issue is that I have yet to find the cheaper version of what I'm wanting. The only designers that have similar dresses are Essence of Australia and Norma & Lili Bridal Couture, but I've looked at almost every dress they have (no exaggeration intended, I work on a computer all day lol) and I found some that get a good reaction from me, but none that hit me with that "omg I need it now" feeling

I've been heavily looking into a custom design, but I haven't been able to find many legitimate ones to contact (so thank you so much for mentioning anomalie!). I've only found 1 girl that has photos and reviews of legitimate work and she hasn't answered on whether or not she could even make the dress of my dreams. I've loved everything by Steven Khalil and I found several by Norma & Lili Bridal Couture that I love so I may just have to drop my standards. I wish I knew about the rule of not looking at dresses before you have a budget, but I've honestly had this dress in mind for years and never even bothered to find out how much it would be until now and now I hate myself for it lmao

Honestly, I had a very specific idea in mind of what I wanted, but I ended up going with something completely different! Seeing pictures online and seeing them on you are two completely different things. Visit multiple shops and try on in your budget and I bet you will find your perfect dress! My budget was 1500 and ended up getting my dress for 950!

Now THIS is the type of energy I need in my life lmao! Yeah I'm definitely gonna go out of budget for this dress, but I certainly won't be spending $10k+

Holy Cow! I cant say ive had that problem, I've never even touched a dress more than 1,300. I would say you should maybe look at some different boutiques and see what else is out there

I'm really just all aout the lace, a LOT of detailing, and I love the mermaid/trumpet look. I NEED the cute little off-shoulder sleeves in my life, and the change in material of the skirt and just all the details on the bodice ugh I'm upset


This one's a $13k Steven Khalil Dress (if you listen closely you can hear me crying in the background lol)

But this is the one ive been waiting for for YEARS now, and I cannot for the life of me figure out who designed it or how much it truly costs, but i can tell that if the only other dress I like is $13k then this one must be a nightmare to my budget that I'm just looking at through rose colored glasses

This is what I'm working on right now. I work on a computer all day so I've been rather heavily searching for anything in a lower budget that's as close to the one I want as humanly possible. Still searching, but not losing hope

Okay first of all, go OFF girl that dress looks absolutely fabulous on you!!! I'm a *sucker* for lace! But my problem is that the dresses I've fallen in love with do have a lot of lace and some beading and are both designer made (insert me crying here lol) so now I'm hopelessly searching for anything cheaper that looks the same or as similar as possible

My absolute dream dress but I can't find the designer or original price, I can just feel it in my soul that it's EXPENSIVE

Definitely, for sure take a look at Morilee, see if they have anything you like and see if there's a retailer near you. They have dresses that look similar to these 2 that you love. I tried ones that were mermaid/trumpet, had tons of lace and beading and were off the shoulder or could have little straps added like that! I don't know exact prices, but I tried on their styles of "Pia", "Palmira", and "Pellagia" and the one I LOVED ("Pia" *sobs* ) was $1,600.

Check out Morilee by Madeline Gardner. Her dresses look like they are 10k but mine (with lace, appliques, tons of beading and sleeves) was $1,400. She has one that is similar to your dream dress too!

I knew what designer I wanted so I went in knowing how much I was going to have to spend. That being said, I picked a budget within the middle of the price point of her gowns. I ended up staying within budget.

I would see if you can find a designer that is within your budget that makes dresses similar to the ones you have been seeing outside of your budget.

This is a Netta BenShabu gown. It is $5,000 (used), which I know is still above what you said your original budget was. But it really looks like your style based on the photos you have posted!

Please check out the designer kitty chen. Lots of lace and detail on quite a few dresses.

Watching SYTTD made me want a gown $1,000 or higher. My parents thought it was unreasonable for me to spend that much for a dress (they were the ones that wanted to buy the dress). I ended up getting a $500 dress that I love so much! So I guess one thing to remember is expensive doesn't always mean better!
