Dress belt help

Please be nice my wedding is Sunday and I can’t make any changes 😬

I kind of see both sides with this one. I think the belt further defines the waist and does definitely bring some bling, but the lines of the beautiful lace are cut.

I think it looks good both ways, so I'd go with your gut on this one. You're going to look gorgeous either way. And eek, how exciting! Good luck for this weekend!

I think the dress looks great both ways. However, it is clear you do not feel as confident/beautiful wearing the belt. So that is 100% your answer. Do not wear the belt. You don’t want to feel self conscious during your wedding.

The dress is beautiful, and if you don’t like the belt then don’t wear it. That being said, I would go without it. I agree with an earlier comment that it kind of interrupts the dress. Go with whatever makes you feel most confident.

I agree with everyone else! The belt detracts from the dress instead of adding to it. You look beautiful in that dress. Trust your instincts. You're the one wearing the dress and you have to be happy and comfortable in it.

I definitely prefer it without the belt

The belt doesn't make you look huge, but it also doesn't suit that dress. The current trend of adding a belt to every dress no matter the cut/style/silhouette was probably just brought on by salons in order to sell belts. Your dress looks beautiful without a belt. Trust your own opinions and ignore the pushy people around you.

If you want to wear a belt, I think a different belt is the way to go. I think the belt is getting lost in the dress. IMO a fabric belt with bling on the front would be the way to add bling to your dress.

But a belt is not needed.

I definitely agree the belt draws your eyes to your bust, and I think it takes away from the beauty of the lace detailing?


If everyone is dead set on you having a belt to accentuate your waist then perhaps a satin or velvet ivory ribbon? So it doesn’t draw too much attention to your top or take away anything from the lace.
But all in all I think it looks amazing without the belt so whatever way you feel most comfortable.
