Dress Anxiety

Your dress is gorgeous and you look beautiful in it! It's totally normal to feel nervous about the dress you chose, it's a big decision for us brides Unless there are things about your dress that you really don't like and you feel really negatively towards your dress (dress regret happens to a lot of brides, including myself), you know it's just the nerves of the big decision! Congratulations on finding your dress!

The dress is gorgeous and fits your curves perfectly! It's honestly stunning!

I have the same anxiety so I tried on way too many dresses before committing. I even had stress dreams before and after purchasing my dress.

My advice to you is to stop looking at photos; they can't even compare to the feeling of being IN your dress.

You look absolutely gorgeous!!! I LOVE your dress! Almost every bride goes through the same thing since it's such a big decision! My biggest tip for you is to stop looking at other gowns, unfollow dress designers on insta/facebook/any other social media, and maybe stop looking at dress threads on here! That's what I did and it helped tremendously. I know it's fun to look at other dresses, but that's when you start to doubt yourself and your decision. Good luck and congratulations!!!

I became nervous in between the purchase and my first fitting, but it was totally unwarranted. I talked to my sister who was there when I bought it, and she totally reassured me and showed me picture of me in the dress from when I bought it (which I no longer had on my phone to look at) and I felt so much better. And when I went for my fitting, I was immediately reassured that I made the right decision, because I felt amazing. I felt the same way about feeling like I missed something since I only visited two places, but when you know, you know. I would stop looking at other dresses, because yours is BEAUTIFUL. And maybe talk to those that were with you on that day, because if they loved it half as much as you did, they will totally reassure you.

It's gorgeous. I think the idea stems from the fact that there's so many options and it makes us doubt if we truly tried all of them on enough. Dress envy, I would think. Because your gown is pretty so it could be you keep seeing other dresses and think man those are also gorgeous

On another note: most people go through some form of dress reget or doubt. Been there, done that. But honestly, it goes away on its own. Or you go to alterations to remind yourself why you loved the dress so much.

I think the trick is mentioned above - dress regret goes away after a while. If it doesn't or gets worse, that should be paid attention to... I did get another dress, but my regret wasn't going away. I love the way your dress fits you and you are absolutely glowing! I love it on you!!

i feel the same way as well...
i go to a lot of bridal expos and seeing other dresses makes me question if i made the right decision. Also i hate to admit but social media plays a big roll in the way i feel as well.. i’m always looking at different dresses questioning if i made the right decision and thinking i made the wrong one.So i told myself i’m just going to stop looking and thinking these things we chose our dresses for a reason! Beautiful dress! I would have loved a mermaid style gown! You've got all the right curves in all the right places!!

I had the dress regret something fierce myself, and I ended up exchanging my dress for another. The other dress was fine, but I didn't like my body in the other dress, and I was crying and panicking over the thought of having to wear it. I chose something more flattering for my shape and feel much better now. If I hadn't been able to exchange it, I probably would have stuck with the original gown and been miserable about it because I didn't have the budget to outright buy a new dress. Try to close your eyes and picture yourself again on the day you tried on your dress in the store. The feeling you had, the intense feeling of "yes". Hopefully that will help you!
